POEM ON : THE FALLING VOICE OF THE BIRDS

From fallen leaves; On the lively trees, The silent dreams, Before the raising sun, the chirping bird; Made  my pleasant days On the fallen trees now, The fallen voice of, esteemed beauty, Of his golden voice, Is now washed away, He is broken for all the happenings; He can barely fly to make me happy, No one looks up to this bird anymore. He is just object because we all have better works, The people are too busy, And controlled by money, To care about the bird, They could not look down, To the broken, sad bird, We have no time to make him feel the warmth nor to sooth him, Things  are vanishing away, Without the mesmerising voice, And while they are now happy, we can’t  and not ignore, The bird there to die, On the lively trees.

The Tiger Lake- Pilikula

Those who are looking for a spot to enjoy must make sure to the destination of Pilikula. It is a stairway to the nature’s version of heaven on earth. Located in Mangalore, Karnataka about 30 minutes away from Mangalore city, this place has a lot to reveal. It is part of culture and heritage. The name Pilikula itself is an evidence of its interconnection with nature. Pilikula literally means pond of tigers. In tulu language ‘pili’ means ‘tiger’ and ‘kula’ means ‘lake’. In older days tigers used to come to this lake to drink water. That’s how the zoo got its name. It interests people who are looking for scenic beauty and peace. But nowadays endangered animals like tigers are rarely seen in the zoo. The tiger’s population is declining very fast. Many of the forest and zoos are empty. Though the authority has different laws regarding the protection of animals, people turn a deaf ear against it. Every year July 29 is observed as the ‘International Tigers Day’. We celebra...

Everyone has the right to healthy environment but due to the human wants the healthy environment has been slowly depleting. Mangaluru the hub of floura, fauna and wildlife is now the ignorant plight of exploitation. The added beauty and the balancing cycle of the Western Ghats is now surrounded by major environmental issues. This shower has not only affected humans but the vegetations as well.  The soot has been creating problems to the locals creating skin related disorders. Due to the monsoon the soot has been mixed with the water bodies making it impossible for the locals to consume this water. The soot showering on the vegetation has also affected the local farmers. This has created lot of agitation in the public. Th...
