Human expansion always cleared some forest for needs.  In the name of agriculture, larger areas are cleared for domestic requirements. D eveloped countries have a recreational forest, how about developing countries. For thousands of years, forests used for hunting are now preserved in the  rational way.  Mountains unfortunately, don't support large trees. As we all tend to go for development and luxuries. Whether we can rebuild forest  in the same state is a doubtful  aspect to think about. So many species of fauna and flora have now vanished. By far the most serious aspect of deforestation is the  forest, where crops can provide profit. The trees can also be profitable of course, as in India we use for books and few countries for toilet papers being made from trees valuable trees such as teak have been used for furniture and the interior designing of the house. The richness in tradition and culture makes India unique. From birth to death we have variety of customs and ceremonies followed.
