Lost Culture And Losing Environment

The richness in tradition and culture makes India unique. From birth to death we have variety of customs and ceremonies followed. Each of these aspects are connected to  the nature. The realization of the fact that humans are bond with the nature astonishes us. When a child is born, right after 28 days its served with the milk deeped in the gold. The footprints of the first walk are kept for memories.

The 21st century’s citizens have adopted modernisation. Westernization and modernization has become the trend of new era– ignoring nature. Unknowing we are searching for the natural resources today.  But somewhere deep in our mind we have the hereditary of our ancestors. Rural sectors have a way of coating their floor ,cow dung which protects us from flies and keeps the floor tidy .Then cow dung, now – marble, tiles, granites which also from the heart of the earth.
We buy luxury stones like diamond and pearls to make us beautiful and grand. The ladies wear ornaments made-up of leaves, clay, etc, but both from our own earth’s surface. Houses are occupied with interior designing with imported high quality products, still we have to have a visiting room set with waterfalls and bamboos shows how much human love to be with nature. Traditional style of asking the permission of the tree before cutting down and considering kitchen and cooking stones as goddess shows the Human’s respect towards the nature.
The relationship between human being and earth is such a powerful one which the intelligent human can’t live without. Some or the other way we are in touch. Earth is considered as the mother of the universe and sun as the father. The difference between we and our ancestors are they protected and preserved the earth. But we destroy it. Attacks on mother earth like – deforestation, mining of soil, polluting water resources etc. will eventually attack us in some way. By making the earth cry we our self is digging burial for our own death.

POEM ON : THE FALLING VOICE OF THE BIRDS

From fallen leaves; On the lively trees, The silent dreams, Before the raising sun, the chirping bird; Made  my pleasant days On the fallen trees now, The fallen voice of, esteemed beauty, Of his golden voice, Is now washed away, He is broken for all the happenings; He can barely fly to make me happy, No one looks up to this bird anymore. He is just object because we all have better works, The people are too busy, And controlled by money, To care about the bird, They could not look down, To the broken, sad bird, We have no time to make him feel the warmth nor to sooth him, Things  are vanishing away, Without the mesmerising voice, And while they are now happy, we can’t  and not ignore, The bird there to die, On the lively trees.

Media the Voice for environment

In the name of development we have encroached the forest, lakes and waterways and what not?  When too much of human activities are conducted against nature it goes in its course be that Kashmir flood, incident in Kedarnath region 2013 or tsunami, cyclones and all types of natural calamities throughout the world. No media is discussing the root cause of the problems which can bring change in the society by the media. Living in harmony with the nature we all know about its importance, but when it comes to practice we tend to forget about it. Everyone wants development, but at what cost? Who would listen to the victims? few oppose industrialisation that has equilibrium  with the nature. How many dams, hydroelectric power plants can be laid along the river 10-60? More importantly there is no clear cut policy on dams, and no thoughts as how dams should be built, where or how? Today, society’s interaction with the nature is extensive that environment question has assumed a...

Bees and wraps administration

There are about 115,000 species of bees and wraps. All these days taste and their stings brought attentions. We all know how honey is extracted. In fact, they are the best homemade remedies for health and beauty.  Ever wonder these bees and wraps have colonies, queen and duties. Honey bees have their own kingdom and queen. Each member of these colonies has works and duties.  These Queen bees are larger than the workers.  They have colonies which lay eggs and administrate. When the fertile males mate with the queen they die soon. The workers perform their duties such as building the nest and food.  Workers on the first week clean the nest, build nest walls and repair the damages.  Queen bee spends most of her day checking cells and laying eggs in them. After 1 or 2 days substance called larvae hatch from the egg. Workers feed the larvae and royal jelly. Just like the election process. Here the ruler is selected on the simple basis.  Bees Matin...
